Pronouncing English words like a native speaker means training your brain and training your mouth muscles to move in a different way. The right teaching, where you get to hear the things that you need to change, and lots of practice can deliver enormous improvements.
It’s also good to realise that there might be just a few areas that you need to improve, perhaps just a few sounds and the rhythm of your English speech.
Star Pronunciation has students well into their 50’s and 60’s who have achieved great improvements in their English Pronunciation. They secret is – listen, learn and then practise, practise, practise.
There is an English saying, ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’. This phrase is used when people think that they can’t change their habits because they have had them for too long.
